Halloween Sucks

'Tis the season to be spooky, and on this, the hallowed of all weeks, the Ghouls are gearing up for the 31st. In the top half of the episode, Grace and Caroline share their favorite looks from Halloweens past and swap a few real life Halloween horror stories of decapitation, secret messages, poisoned candy, Canadian beach riots and the infamous Clown Panic of 2016. 
Don't let the title of this episode fool you... The Ghouls would NEVER slander the good holiday of Halloween. They will, however, spend the second half of their time together slandering John Carpenter's 'Halloween Ends,' the 13th (and hopefully final) installment of the 'Halloween' movie series, which the Ghouls watched this weekend so you don't have to. You're welcome! Despite being one of the worst movies they've seen this year, the Ghouls have a great time recapping all the mayhem, murder, killer hotties in round glasses and nonsensical dedication to the fictional small town of Haddonfield, Illinois that make up the very wild plot of 'Halloween Ends.'

Ghoul Gang: Origin of Evil

The Ghouls are taking it back to their roots this week with a tour through all the cryptids, ghosts and arsonists-turned-murderers that roam the mountains in their ancestral homelands of Scotland and Norway. Caroline talks trolls, merMEN, hot, hollow-backed woodland nymph(omaniac)s and Norwegian black metal, while Grace embarks upon a spooky journey through Scotland's sordid history of castle-based murder, from boiling and child kidnapping to tongue cutting and hot Spanish black widows.
With multiple asides that reveal just how deeply the American public school system has failed to educate the Ghouls on geography, history, geometry and basic reading comprehension, this week's episode ends with a spoiler free discussion of Ryan Murphy's latest Netflix project, 'The Watcher.' Evil Intentions & Listener Stories

Hauntober continues in full force! First up in this absolute monster of an episode, the Ghouls recap Ellie and Caroline's weekend excursion out to Evil Intentions, a haunted house in the sleepy lil Halloween town of Elgin, Illinois, which is operated out of an abandoned casket factory. Caroline gives Grace an overview of the haunt and chats with three exceedingly charming actors about the paranormal history of the building and their experiences working alongside real-life ghosts and ghouls. 
Next, Grace and Caroline read an assortment of ghost stories from beloved Ghoul Gang listeners Samantha, Isaac and Kennedy. These tales take us on a journey through time and space, from the modern-day spirits lurking inside the Art Institute of Chicago all the way to a haunted castle in Portugal circa 2008. Along the way, we pop into Caroline's demon-filled college house, hear a few of Grace's ghostly experiences in Georgia, consider the veracity of the pet psychic industry and vow to avenge the death of Isaac's grandfather at the hands of an angry spirit. Halloween Haunts: The Good, The Bad & The Literal Torture

It was the best of haunts, it was the worst of haunts. Actually, it's bedtime, cuz the Ghouls are wiped TF out from a weekend of pure terror and suspense. We've been on the run, drivin' in the sun, looking out for number one... That's right ghoulies, this week Grace and Caroline are hopping on Highway 101 and speeding into Hollywood's most haunted locales. On their trip through the star-studded City of Angels, the Ghouls discuss the spirits haunting Johnny Depp's infamous Viper Room, John Belushi's death and alleged afterlife as a friendly ghost at the Chateau Marmont, Whitney Houston's tragic family curse and the little-known true story behind the '80s horror movie "The Entity." Asides include the Ghouls' hot take on the new Netflix Dahmer series, several DARE-style PSAs against speedballs, and an unnecessary deep dive into the origins of Jamie Lynn Spears' absolutely batshit name. This week, the Ghouls take it back to spooky season basics with a tour through a few of the world's most cursed and haunted objects.
